Simple plug in units for remote operation of, or copying data from, Hitachi's J100 and J300 sensorless flux vector inverters are available.

The J300 set new standards for open loop flux vector motor control when it was introduced. The drives have captured a substantial market across a broad spectrum of applications. The remote operator and copy units have exactly the same functions as the drives and can be used to prevent operator tampering or to provide data readings of a pre-programmed drive.

The unit simply plugs into a socket at the front of a blanked off inverter and can be used to set the drive to the optimum operating parameters. Once set, the copy unit can be used to programme other identical drives in a system. Drives which have already been programmed can be checked for v/f characteristics and accelerating time at future dates - thereby highlighting changes in operating conditions or motor performance.

Like the operator controls on the standard J and L Series inverters, the remote operator and copy units are extremely easy to program and have plain English screen prompts via a clear backlit LCD.
